If you already have telematics on your fleet, SmartLink allows you to share data with your insurer without the need to fit a secondary aftermarket device. Simply follow the prompts as you go through the onboarding process and we will activate you data feed in line with the terms of your policy.

The process should take no longer than ten minutes to complete. Once complete, our team will carry out the steps to authenticate your credentials and you should be live within the following 24 hours.

What will I need

  • Policy Number – If your insurance policy has already been activated, you should have a policy number on your official insurer documentation. If you have not yet completed this process but have a quotation / reference number, please use this instead.
  • Telematics Provider name – You should know who your telematic service provider is so when the time comes, you can select them from the SmartLink menu of partners.
    If you do not have a telematics provider you can order a device separately using this process.
  • Telematics login/API details – Each provider requires a different set of credentials in order to facilitate data sharing. Please consult your telematics partner if you are unsure what credentials you need.

Is there a cost to me for sharing my data?

You will not be charged a fee by Matrix iQ for sharing your data with your insurer as this is your data.

Can I view the data?

You are able to continue viewing your telematics data through your existing supplier portal. If you require access to the Matrix iQ platform, please contact us to discuss.
